AshantiGold will aim to maintain their three-point lead at the summit when the premiership returns this weekend.

The Miners take on Great Olympics in the first of four crucial games beginning Sunday at the Len Clay Stadium.

With Hearts of Oak and Aduana mounting the pressure on AshantiGold, anything short of victory against the relegation contenders, Olympics could derail their title ambitions.

Defending champions, Hearts of Oak will also welcome another relegation battling side, Sekondi Hasaacas to the Ohene Djan Stadium.

The Sekondi-based side positioned at the bottom of the table have nothing to lose going head-to-head with the Phobians.

Of the three top sides, Aduana Stars have the most difficult fixture this weekend. A trip to Kpando to meet Heart of Lions is a tough fixture for the Dormaa side with the home team pushing for a top four finish.

Lions are certainly favourites to claim all three points but Aduana will attempt to cause an upset which can only aid their title chase.

Fourth-placed All Stars, who are angling for a top-four finish will visit the Carl Reindorf grounds to play Liberty Professionals who are six points off their opponents for Sunday.

Despite a troubled season, Asante Kotoko could still finish in the first four come the end of the season but they need to pick all three points from the Golden City Park where they clash with Berekum Arsenals.

Kotoko trail the Gunners, who have been hit with a GHC 5,000 fine for troubles at their grounds by just a point.

Real Tamale United also slapped with a hefty fine by the Disciplinary Committee will have to calm their fans when Bechem Chelsea arrives for the weekend’s clash.

At the Baba Yara Stadium, King Faisal would want to avoid a second successive defeat when they take on an in-form New Edubiase side.

The hopes of Eleven Wise playing their way out of the bottom three will be tested again this weekend in their game against Kessben FC.
