Medeama SC’s Premier League title charge has hit a critical stumbling block at the worst possible time, following a 2-1 defeat to Dreams FC over the weekend.
The result extended the Mauve and Yellow’s winless run to six matches, three draws and three defeats, marking their poorest stretch of the 2025/26 campaign.
Once sitting comfortably at the summit, Medeama have now slipped to second place on 46 points. Despite the dip in form, they still boast the league’s most potent attack with 34 goals scored, while maintaining a solid defensive record, conceding just 19 times in 26 matches.
A return to the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium could prove pivotal in reigniting their title push.
Medeama have been formidable on home soil this season, registering eight wins, four draws, and only one defeat in 13 matches—form that positions them among the league’s strongest home sides. Head coach Ibrahim Tanko will be keen to see his side capitalize on that advantage and bring an end to their frustrating run when they take to the pitch on Friday.
Techiman Eleven Wonders make the long journey to Tarkwa with renewed belief after showing resilience in their most recent outing. The league’s bottom side fought back twice to secure a 2-2 draw against FC Samartex 1996 at the Swedru Sports Stadium, earning their first point since January 2026 and halting an eight-game losing streak.
While that result offers a glimmer of hope, Eleven Wonders remain rooted to the foot of the table with just 10 points, a staggering 21 points from safety with only seven matches left. Their struggles are reflected in both ends of the pitch—they have conceded a league-high 46 goals and scored the fewest (16).
Their woes are even more pronounced on the road, where they have managed just two draws and suffered ten defeats, one of the worst away records in the competition.
