Medeama SC will welcome Premier League debutants Vision FC to the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium on Friday night as the former Premier League champions continue their push for a top-four finish.

The Mauve and Yellow come into the fixture brimming with confidence after dispatching fellow newcomers Young Apostles 3-0 in their last outing. They are now eyeing back-to-back league victories for the first time since April 1. Sitting 7th on the league table with 44 points from 29 matches, Medeama remain firmly in the hunt for a top-four spot.

Boasting the league’s most potent attack, Ibrahim Tanko’s men have found the net 34 times this season while conceding 25 goals. Their recent form has been mixed, however, with two wins and three losses in their last five outings. Nonetheless, Medeama have established their home ground as a fortress, having won their last six games in Tarkwa — keeping four clean sheets in the process. Only one team has a better home record this season, underscoring the club's dominance at the Aboso Stadium.

Vision FC travel to Tarkwa on the back of their most impressive result of the season — a stunning 2-0 victory over league leaders Gold Stars FC. That triumph ended a four-match winless streak (D2, L2) and lifted spirits in the Tema-based camp. Currently sitting 14th with 33 points from 29 matches, Vision FC find themselves just four points clear of the relegation zone, making every point vital as the season nears its climax.

While their home form has provided a lifeline, Vision have struggled on the road, going winless in their last five away matches (D2, L3). Coach Nana Agyeman will need to inspire a disciplined and resilient performance from his side as they travel to one of the toughest venues in the league.

Friday’s encounter will mark the first-ever league meeting between Medeama SC and Vision FC at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium following the latter’s promotion to the top flight this season.
