League leaders Medeama SC will look to maintain their fine form and unbeaten home record when they host an in-form FC Samartex 1996 at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

The former champions are in scintillating form, boasting the most potent attack in the Premier League this season with 10 goals after five matches. Their latest 2-1 triumph over Dreams FC underlined their attacking prowess and resilience, pushing them to four wins and one defeat in their opening five fixtures. Having scored 10 and conceded just three, Ibrahim Tanko’s men are brimming with confidence as they chase a third consecutive league victory,  a feat they last achieved in September 2024.

Adding to their confidence is a dominant home record: Medeama have a 100% win record at Tarkwa this season, netting eight goals in three home outings. History also favours the Mauve and Yellow - they have never lost at home to FC Samartex in the league since the Timber giants’ top-flight promotion in 2022, winning two and drawing one of their last three home meetings.

However, FC Samartex 1996 head to Tarkwa full of belief after an unbeaten start to the 2025/26 campaign. They currently sit fourth on the table with nine points, having secured two wins and three draws in their opening five matches. Under the guidance of Christopher Ennin, the Timber giants have shown defensive solidity, conceding only twice,  in a 1-1 draw with Karela United and a 2-1 home victory over Eleven Wonders.

While Samartex remain one of only four unbeaten teams in the league, their biggest challenge lies in their away form. They are yet to score on the road this season, drawing both away fixtures 0-0, and have also failed to score in their last three visits to Tarkwa (D1, L2). Ennin’s side will need to sharpen their attack if they are to end their goal drought away from home against the league leaders.

Head-to-Head

Medeama SC and FC Samartex 1996 have met three times at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium since 2022, with Medeama winning twice (2-0 in 2022/23, 1-0 in 2023/24) and the sides playing out a goalless draw last season.

Dreams FC vs Nations FC: Still Believe eye first win at home

At the Tuba AstroTurf, Dreams FC continue their search for their first win of the season as they host Nations FC on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in what promises to be a crucial battle for both sides.

Dreams FC’s struggles have seen them slip into the relegation zone after collecting just one point from five matches (D1, L4). They have scored only three goals and conceded seven, the second-highest tally in the league,  as they look to bounce back from last week’s narrow 2-1 defeat to Medeama SC. Despite their poor start, Winfred Dormon’s men can take comfort in their remarkable home record: unbeaten in their last 11 league games at Tuba (W8, D3). Their only home loss in recent memory came at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.

Nations FC, on the other hand,  have also endured a dip in form following an impressive start to the campaign. After opening with a 2-1 win over Swedru All Blacks, Kassim Mingle Ocansey’s team have gone four games without victory (D2, L2). Both losses came on the road, while the draws were at home against FC Samartex and Asante Kotoko. The Abrankese-based side have struggled offensively, failing to score in three of their last four matches, and have lost their last four away games across all competitions.

Currently sitting 12th on the table with five points, Nations FC will be determined to reignite their season, but they face a tough test against a Dreams side with one of the league’s best home records.

Head-to-Head

The two sides have met twice at Tuba since 2023, with each claiming one victory — Dreams FC won 1-0 in 2023/24, while Nations FC secured a 1-0 revenge win last season.

Saturday’s fixtures promise intensity, tactical battles, and defining moments as Medeama look to tighten their grip on the top spot and Dreams FC fight to revive their campaign in front of their home faithful.
