Nations FC secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Heart of Lions to preserve their unbeaten home record in the Premier League this season.
Chauncy Freeman opened the scoring for the visitors in the 16th minute at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, but Nations drew level when Ruben Hennessy inadvertently turned the ball into his own net. Prince Badu completed the comeback five minutes from time, firing home the winner to give Nations their fourth victory of the campaign.
The win lifts Nations FC to 9th on the league table with 16 points, having scored 12 goals and conceded 11 so far.
Heart of Lions remain second, but their position is under threat and could change should leaders Medeama and third-placed Aduana FC claim victories in their respective home fixtures against Berekum Chelsea and Basake Holy Stars on Sunday.
