Hohoe United will be desperate to end a four-game winless run when they welcome title-chasing Hearts of Oak to the Hohoe Sports Stadium on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

The Premier League debutants head into the fixture still stuck in the relegation zone with 18 points, having managed just one win in their last five matches. Goals have been in short supply for the Hohoe-based side, who have failed to score in four of those five outings (D1, L3). Across 17 matches this season, Hohoe United have scored 13 goals and conceded 17, reflecting the challenges of life in the top flight following their promotion in September 2025.

In their most recent outing, United were held to a goalless draw by regional rivals Heart of Lions, a match in which they dominated play but lacked the cutting edge to convert their chances. That result marked the 13th time Hohoe United have dropped points this season (D6, L7).

Despite their league position, Hohoe United have been relatively competitive at home. They are ranked as the second weakest home side, but have still recorded three wins and four draws from nine home league matches, scoring 10 and conceding seven. Their only home defeats have come against Aduana FC and Bibiani Gold Stars, and they will take confidence from holding Hearts of Oak to a goalless draw on the opening day of the season.

Hearts of Oak travel to Hohoe sitting fifth on the league table with 28 points, looking to respond after a narrow 1–0 defeat to leaders Medeama SC last weekend. That loss ended the Phobians’ three-game unbeaten run and their sequence of clean sheets.

While Hearts boast the best defensive record in the league, conceding just seven goals, their attack has been a concern, with only 11 goals scored—the lowest tally in the division after 17 matches. Under head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, Hearts have nevertheless been formidable on the road, ranking as the second best away side with three wins, four draws, and two defeats from nine away games. They have scored five goals and conceded four away from home.
