Hearts of Oak returned to winning ways on Saturday with a hard-earned 1–0 victory over Vision FC at the University of Ghana Stadium, to inject renewed confidence into their Premier League campaign.

Mawuli Wayo delivered the all-important goal in the first half, steering his effort past the Vision goalkeeper. The strike rewarded Hearts’ bright start, as they pressed with intent and controlled the early proceedings.

The goal lifted the atmosphere inside the stadium and sent the Phobians into the break with a deserved advantage.

Vision FC responded strongly after halftime, creating several dangerous chances as they pushed for an equaliser. But Hearts goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi rose to the occasion, producing a series of superb saves to preserve his side’s slim lead.

The win marks Hearts’ fifth of the season and sees them climb the league table, revitalising their title aspirations. Vision’s struggles on the road, however, continue as their winless away run extends.
