Already relegated Eleven Wonders will be playing for pride when they host fellow strugglers Hohoe United FC in a Premier League clash at the Swedru Sports Stadium on Friday.

Eleven Wonders’ difficult campaign continued last weekend as they slumped to their 21st defeat of the season, falling to league leaders Medeama SC in Tarkwa. The Premier League returnees remain anchored at the bottom of the table with just 10 points from 27 matches, having scored only 16 goals and conceded a league-high 46—the poorest record in the division.

Despite their confirmed relegation, the side will be eager to salvage some pride and end the season on a positive note. They are still searching for just their third win of the campaign, with their last victory—a 2-0 triumph over Basake Holy Stars FC—dating back to Matchday 18. Their home form offers little encouragement, having managed only two wins, two draws, and ten defeats in 14 matches, making them the weakest home side in the league.

In contrast, Hohoe United travel to Agona Swedru with far more at stake. The Hohoe-based side are locked in a desperate fight for survival and come into this fixture under pressure following consecutive defeats to Swedru All Blacks and Dreams FC, the latter handing them a heavy 3-0 loss at home.

In their debut Premier League campaign, Hohoe United have shown flashes of competitiveness but remain in the relegation zone, sitting on 30 points—five adrift of safety—with only six matches left to play. Having scored 22 goals and conceded 29 in 27 matches, their margin for error is rapidly shrinking.
