Aduana FC climbed to the summit of the Premier League table after defeating Heart of Lions 1–0 on Friday, ending the Kpando side’s unbeaten home record this season.
Patrick Mensah scored the decisive goal in the 51st minute. After surging into the box, his initial effort was blocked, but he reacted sharply to steer the rebound into the net with a composed finish, ultimately separating the two sides on a tightly contested afternoon.
Despite enjoying long spells of possession, Heart of Lions failed to convert their dominance into real attacking threat and did not register a shot on target throughout the match. Aduana, on the other hand, made better use of their attacking moments, recording three efforts on goal and converting one to seal a crucial away victory.
The win lifts Aduana FC to the top of the table, one point ahead of the pack—though their lead could be short-lived, with Medeama not featuring this weekend due to the postponement of their match against Bibiani Gold Stars.
