Berekum Chelsea escaped defeat on the opening day of their title defence as they rallied from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Mighty Jets in Accra.

Despite earning a face saving point, coach of the league champions, Steve Pollack remains unhappy with the display of some of his players.

“I am disappointed with the performance, a 1-1 draw away from home is not a bad result at all but very disappointed in the performance today,” he said after the game.

Pollack says his players failed to implement the tasks handed them and that cost them on the day.

“There were about three or four players who failed to do their job as they were supposed to do and so I am disappointed but at the same time we got one point and we’ve got to be happy with that.

“I don’t want to name players, they know who they are, why will I name players and they know why I chose not to speak with them.”

Chelsea hopes to pick up the pieces when they welcome Liberty Professionals to the Golden City Park on Sunday.
