Berekum Chelsea appear to have all but secured all their transfer targets for their title defence as coach Steve Pollack hopes to blend experience with youth.

The champions have added to their ranks ex-internationals Charles Taylor and Baba Armando as they prepare for life in the Premier League and the Africa Champions League.

Pollack, who has taken charge of the coaching duties at the club this term feels the experience of many of his players will give them good idea of what it means to play at that level.

"It's good to have quality players and we have quite a number here including ex internationals. They can show the others what it means to play at the higher level and then hopefully the players who have had the exposure will help those other players get a better understanding of that," Pollack said.

While being presented with the squad he needs, including Gladson Awako, Pollack, admits that retaining the title would prove a tough task.

"To win the league is hard but to retain the league is even harder. Every game will be like a Cup final. I feel like there are a lot of good teams here but on our day we can beat everybody."

Chelsea begin their title defence in Accra against Mighty Jets on Sunday.
