Juanita Aguadzie as on target as Police Ladies beat Hasaacas ladies 2-1 in their Women’s Premier League match day 2 fixture.

The McDan La Town Park was the venue for the thrilling encounter as Police Ladies recorded an important win over their arch rivals.

Millot Pokua had fired Hassacas Ladies into a 10th-minute lead but an almost immediate response from Deborah Afriyie sent some panic shivers through the away side.

The midfielder's ambitious drive whistled pass goalkeeper Grace Banwa and was only saved by the woodwork.

The equaliser arrived in style as Ruth Appiah chipped the ball over the onrushing Grace Banwa after substitute Adjei Cynthia’s pass had nutmegged Francisca Asante in the 38th minute.

Goalkeeper, Grace Banwa was beaten again within six minutes to stoppage of the first half, where forward, Juanita Aguadzie capitalised on dual defensive blunders to neatly head home the match winner.

Coach Yusif Basigi’s side were eager to equalize but could not put their arsenals together within the stipulated game time.

This defeat is Hasaacas Ladies’ second straight defeat of the season  whereas Police Ladies have maintained their hundred percent record as leaders in the Southern Zone.

Annie Henrietta of Police Ladies was adjudged NASCO Player of the Match for her stellar performance and received her award from the United States Ambassador to Ghana Ma’am Stephanie Sullivan who was at the Mc Dann park to watch the match.
