The Professional League Board has postponed the match-day-14 OneTouch Premier League game between Accra Hearts Oak and Wa All Stars.

A request by the Wa-based side to the PLB for the postponement of the game due Tuesday morning’s robbery attack on the team while on their journey to Accra for the game was granted by the league organisers.

The match which would have been played at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Wednesday would now come off at the same venue on March 19.

Wa All Stars had submitted a request to the organisers of the league to have the game rescheduled after submitting both Police and medical reports to the PLB for consideration.

The attack took place on the Techiman highway in the Brong Ahafo region around 2:00 am with Wa All Stars head coach Emmanuel Quarshie and two other players sustaining head injuries as the robbers ordered them on the street and bolted with their monies and mobile phones.

Armed robbers mounted a road block and succeeded in preventing the bus on which they were travelling on to make a quick reverse as they smashed the windscreen with their machetes.

The team after the attack made their way to Kumasi where they received medical attention at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
