Hearts of Oak's FA Cup hopes suffered a damaging blow as they exit the competition after losing to ten-man Berekum Arsenals on penalties.

The Cup competition was the Phobians' only chance of a silverware this season having endured a difficult time in the premier league.

Arsenals took the lead through Eric Asiedu on 22 minutes but Abraham Annan drew level with beautiful curled shot from 19 yards in the 35th minute.

The visitors jumped into the lead again through Ernest Obeng but Captain Karim Alhassan restored parity on 76 minutes, volleying in a shot from close range.

But after tying the game 2-2 at the Ohene Djan Stadium, the was little that new Serbian coach Nebjosa Vucicevic could do to save Hearts' campaign against the Gunners.

With the spot kicks tied at 5-5, Hearts missed their sixth kick, leaving the Gunners to slot home the decisive kick which hands them a Round of 16 place.

In Wa, All Stars managed a 1-0 victory over Juventus to advance while Eleven Wise needed the penalty lottery to defeat Tarkwa United and book their place in the next round.
