Ahead of the Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship, scheduled for August 25–31, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE), there will be a dedicated safeguarding training session for all participants.
The initiative is designed to equip players, coaches, team officials, and other adults involved in the competition with the knowledge and tools to create a safe and supportive environment throughout the tournament.
Led by our Safeguarding Officer, Obed Tuffuor, the training will focus on child protection principles, setting professional boundaries, and building trust between adults and players. It will also emphasise the importance of recognising and preventing abuse, while reminding young players that their safety and dignity come first.
Participants will be introduced to clear reporting mechanisms, ensuring that players know how to speak up if they ever feel unsafe or mistreated.
By embedding safeguarding into the heart of the U15 Championship, the GFA is reinforcing its commitment to making football a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for every young player.
