In their last two meetings at senior level, Ghana have lost to Brazil, first in a competitive game and the other a friendly.

The Black Stars lost 3-0 in a round of 16 World Cup clash in 2006 then went down 1-0 in an international friendly in Sweden, a year after.

Next up is another friendly with the South American side and the Black Stars are eager to put one past their opponents.

The past is a season to forget for John Paintsil. He played in both games against Brazil and is in line for a third fixture in recent times between both nations.

Paintsil is looking for a turn around in results against Brazil and explains that the Black Stars are chasing that elusive win.

"We need to put one past them this time. The Brazilians are not going to find it any easy. They have beaten us twice in the past and we would go all out to win and lift the flag of Ghana high," the Ghana defender said.

Ghana enter the game against Brazil on the back of a 2-0 Nations Cup qualifying win over Swaziland and Paintsil believes the team is been boosted by that victory.

"Yes, it [victory over Swaziland] has provided us with a real lift ahead of the game with Brazil. We wanted to get that game done first and we achieved what we planned.

"Now, we are filled with confidence and it is always good when you feel this way going into big games. They are a good side and one of the best but so are we."
