John Paintsil is determined to put in good performances to aid his contract renewal at Fulham.

The Ghana defender has been linked with a move away from Craven Cottage when his contract runs out at the end of the season.

For Paintsil who has struggled to hold down a regular place in Mark Hughes' side, he needs to grab his chance to impress as he looks to secure his future at the club

"I know that there is competition at Fulham," the 29 year-old defender told the Fulham Chronicle.

"We have a big squad and everybody deserves to play, so I have to wait for my chance to come again.
