A veteran of the last World Cup in Germany, John Paintsil is confident Ghana can relive those special moments when the competition starts in South Africa.

The Black Stars are making a second successive appearance at the finals after a fantastic debut performance.

Ghana qualified from a rather tough group the last time round as they went on to finish in the second round.

The squad of four years ago has only nine members in the present team and Paintsil, one of the veterans from the last World Cup line ups says Milovan Rajevac’s side can take inspiration from the past.

According to Paintsil, showing videos on the Ghana bus of their last appearance is enough motivation and a timely reminder for the rest of the squad about what to expect.

"It’s for everyone to watch how good we were, how fast we were and how determined we were," the Ghana full-back said.

"We then all know what task is ahead of us because our group is very tricky."
