Ghana’s male Olympic team are rounding up their impressive tour of Togo where they have been training for their Beijing qualification push.

The team’s intensive tour saw them play three test games which produced all wins ahead of their grudge June 2 away Olympic qualifier against Nigeria.

Team coach, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio watched the Black Meteors first beat the local component of the Togo national team 2-0 with goals from Kwadwo Asamoah and Bawa Mohammed.

After that win, the Olympic team continued with their winning run when they took on local club sides.

An own goal and a brace by James Boadu saw the Black Meteors defeat Etoile Filante 3-1 before spanking Port Authority 4-0 courtesy a hat-trick by Sadat Bukari and James Boadu strike.

The Black Meteors, who return to the Ghanaian capital, Accra on Tuesday will be joined by the five foreign-based players for the trip to Nigeria on Wednesday.

Yao Kumordzi is the only foreign-based player in camp as Anthony Annan joins the squad in Accra for the team's afternoon training session on Tuesday.

Three players - Haminu Draman, Michael Helegbe and Prince Tagoe would also join the squad later on Tuesday in Accra while Asamoah Gyan jets in on Wednesday.

Ghana, paired with West African rivals Nigeria, Ethiopia and South Africa begin the African qualifiers for the 2008 Olympic Games football tournament with an away fixture against Nigeria in Abuja.

The qualifiers will be played in a league format between June and March 2008.

Three group winners qualify for the final tournament at the Beijing Games.

Ghana’s Black Meteors are gunning for second successive berth at the Olympics after edging out Burkina Faso on a 5-0 aggregate scoreline over two legs last month to enter the last stage of qualifiers.

After the June 3 game against Nigeria, Ghana will have to wait until August when the Black Meteors take on Ethiopia on home grounds on August 22.

The Black Meteors would end the first round in Group A with a game against South Africa away on the weekend of September 8-9.
