Asante Kotoko have reached the last 16 of the FA Cup after overcoming tough Sekondi Hasaacas side at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors beat the former elite campaigners 1-0 through a second half strike from striker Kofi Nti Boakye.

For a side chasing the double, securing their place in the fourth round of the Cup competition is significant progress as Maxwell Konadu utilised his squad by fielding a second-string side.

Substitute Alhassan Abubakar, a reserve team player created the opportunity for Nti Boakye to bury home the winner from close range.

At the Golden City Park, Berekum Chelsea thumped Unity Stars 3-0 in the derby to advance in the competition.

Awudu Nafiu scored in between Edward Jembaye's brace for last year's semi-finalist.

In Obuasi, Yakubu Mohammed scored the winner for AshantiGold as the Miners beat King Faisal 1-0.

The upset for the Round of 32 fixtures was recorded at the Tema Stadium where struggling Berekum Arsenal exited the competition after losing 4-2 against second-tier side Inter Allies.

Abdul Fatau scored the opener from the spot on 14 minutes Laud Ofosuhene increased the tally for Allies.

Francis Aggrey pulled one back but Ofosuhene scored again in the 43rd minute to keep Allies firmly in control.

Inter Allies scored their fourth goal twenty minutes after the break before Arsenal pulled one back.

Sporting Mirren beat Asokwa Deportivo 4-0 to progress to the fourth round.

Eleven Wise bowed out after losing 4-2 on penalties to Dormaa Kyenkyenkye. Both sides drew 1-1 after regulation time.
