At the Karaga AstroTurf on Saturday, Northern Zaytuna secured a solid 2-0 victory over Dreams Tamale to open their campaign on a winning note. The side put up a disciplined performance to claim all three points in the opening fixture of the competition.
Meanwhile, Boresa SC edged Yelzoli FC in a thrilling seven-goal encounter at the Tolon AstroTurf. Boresa SC eventually emerged 4-3 winners in a match filled with attacking football and dramatic moments from both sides.
At the Gushegu AstroTurf, Super Wonders also made a strong start to their campaign with a narrow 3-2 victory over Bindo Stars in another closely contested match.
The final game of the opening round saw Steadfast FC and Mole Nationals share the spoils after a 1-1 draw at the Jinapor AstroTurf, with both teams settling for a point after an evenly balanced contest.
