There's been a change in programme by the Confederation of African Football-CAF, as the sport body reschedules the draw for the Ghana 2008 African Cup of Nation to October 19.

The new draw date comes a day before the original date, which was approved by the continent's soccer controlling body.

According to reports, CAF's Executive Committee and the Planning Committee for the 26th edition of the African Cup of Nations has approved the new date scheduled to be held in Accra, Ghana's capital.

CAF had originally fixed October 20 as the draw date for the continent's biggest sporting action.

No official reason has been assigned for the change.

The 26th edition of the continent's showpiece will run from January 20 to February 10 and it would be hosted by Ghana.

The sixteen qualified nations would be throw into four groupings with each group having four teams.
