Abedi Ayew Pele, owner of FC Nania has ruled out any quick sale of their best players as they aim to impress on their debut in continental football.

Nania, who would be making a historic appearance in the Confederation Cup after winning Ghana's FA Cup have so far warded off interests from premier league sides for their star players.

The second tier club who on Sunday lifted the Super Cup, are keen on making an impact in Africa with Abedi Pele explaining their policy of keeping their players.

”Indeed it became our policy not to release any player this season when we won the FA Cup because they will play a key part for us in our quest to cause an upset in the Confederation Cup,” said, Abedi Pele.

The former Ghana captain who also coaches the side revealed that he had to turn down Asante Kotoko's interest in midfielder Prince Baffoe.

"The Executive Director (of Asante Kotoko) spoke to me extensively about him (Baffoe) because they seriously needed him for this season in the league,” the Nania owner said.

”But I told him, we were going to play Africa and therefore we were not going to release him to them or any other club."
