FA Cup holders, FC Nania will face Great Olympics in the pick of the preliminary round of the MTN FA Cup competition following Friday's draw.

Ninety-six clubs drawn from the second and third tier of the Ghanaian football league have been paired ahead of the preliminary round kick off beginning the weekend of December 13.

The champions will open their defence at home.

Former premier side, King Faisal will be involved in a local derby against Kaaseman FC while Red Bull Academy take on Okwahu United.

Clubs from the Premiership division have drawn a bye and will enter the competition at the Round of 64 stage.

The knockout competition would see 112 sides involved in a total of 111 games in this season's tournament since FC Nania won the Cup, beating Asante Kotoko in the last final.

The FA Cup by its tradition always involves clubs from all tiers of the Ghana league system playing against each other for the ultimate trophy.

The draw for the Round of 64 would be made after the completion of the Preliminary Round ties.
