The FA Cup's first biggest upset has been recorded as holders, FC Nania have been eliminated.

Great Olympics stunned Nania 1-0 to send last season's champions out at the preliminary round stage on Wednesday.

Attacker Daniel Clottey struck in the first half to send the holders tumbling out of the competition after 94 minutes of action at the Nania Park in Legon.

An excited Walter Yankah, coach of Olympics said studying tapes helped them map out a plan to neutralize them.

"When the draw was announced, I knew we had a chance. I studied their videos and we planned against them," the Olympics coach said.

"The way they play, it's only 4-3-3 that can stop them. That was how we lined up and we stopped them. But they are a good side and we are also a good side."

Poor goalkeeping from Michael Sai allowed Olympics to strike after he allowed a corner kick to fly to the back post and a shot across was turned in by Clottey.

Nania parading almost the entire squad that won the Cup last season could not break the solid Olympics defence.

In other matches, BA Utd and Bazooka FC secured their places in the next round of the competition after winning away from home.
