Sulley Muntari will sit out of the penultimate match in the African qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup due to suspension.

Ghana plays away to Benin in Cotonou this weekend in the pre-final qualifier in Group D.

The midfielder, a key performer for Ghana will have to serve a one-game ban after picking up two bookings so far in the final round of qualifiers.

Sulley picked up his second booking in Ghana’s 2-0 win against Sudan last month in Accra, a game that sealed qualification for next year’s showpiece.

Ghana will head into the weekend’s qualifiers on the continent as the first country to have booked their place at next year’s showpiece though South Africa by virtue of being host are automatic qualifiers for the World Cup.
