MTN rallies support for Black Stars

Black Stars’ communication sponsor, MTN, has unveiled its “Global Activity Plan" towards the 2010 World Cup and to promote Ghana’s quest of reaching another World Cup finals.

MTN is Africa’s leading mobile telecommunication company and the first African company to become a sponsor of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Prince Buaben and Eric Bekoe were among those that attended the “Global Activity Plan" launch in Kumasi as the mobile telecommunication giant held the event simultaneously in 21 other countries in Africa and the Middle East.

The launch comes ahead of Ghana’s opening qualifying game for the 2010 African Nations Cup and World Cup.

Ghana would host Libya on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

At the event, MTN Ghana’s Chief Marketing Officer, George Andah rallied the Ghanaian populace to support the Black Stars qualify for the 2010 World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations.

The mobile telecommunication company signed on to become the Communication Sponsor of the Black Stars in January 2006.
