Telecommunication sponsor of the Black Stars, MTN Ghana, on Friday paid up their financial commitment to Ghana’s senior national team.

The cellular service providers doled out $250,000 into the purse of the team representing their contractual obligation to the team.

A cheque was handed over to the team during their Friday training session at the El-Wak stadium ahead of the four-nation tournament, a competition that has MTN Ghana as sponsors and which includes the Black Stars as one of the four participating teams.

MTN Ghana also paid $50,000 to the Ghana Football Association to support the football body’s development agenda.

The cellular service providers has been tied to the Black Stars brand since last year when Ghana played at the World Cup finals in Germany.
