The stage is set at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, as regional teams converge for the maiden edition of the MTN Elite U-19 Inter-Regional Tournament.
Participating Regional Football Association (RFA) teams will undergo orientation on Thursday evening, ahead of the commencement of matches on Friday, October 24, 2025. The championship will span 11 days, concluding on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
This inaugural competition will feature ten RFA U-19 teams, bringing together some of the nation’s most promising young footballers in a celebration of emerging talent, teamwork, and football excellence.
The tournament also provides an invaluable opportunity for players to showcase their abilities on a national stage, as part of Ghana’s broader football development drive.
Proudly sponsored by MTN Ghana, the Elite U-19 Championship represents a cornerstone of the Ghana Football Association’s “Power to the Youth” initiative — a key component of the GFA’s long-term youth development strategy. The initiative aims to create a structured pathway for young players to progress from grassroots football into professional leagues and national team setups.
With the combined support of MTN Ghana, the GFA, and its technical and administrative teams, the MTN Elite U-19 Championship is set to become a defining platform for the next generation of Ghanaian football stars — nurturing development, promoting exposure, and discovering future talents for both domestic and international competitions.
The MTN Elite U-19 Championship officially kicks off on Friday, October 24, and runs through to Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
