Participants of the MTN Elite U-19 Boys Championship received an extensive orientation session on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, a day before the official kickoff of the highly anticipated tournament. The session was designed to prepare players, coaches and officials for a smooth and successful competition.

The programme began with a warm welcome address from Vice-Chairman of the Organising Committee, Enoch Agyare Addo, who urged all teams to uphold discipline, fair play and sportsmanship throughout the championship. He emphasized the importance of the competition as a developmental pathway for identifying and nurturing the next generation of national team players.

Regional Football Association Coordinator, Daseebre Adu Asare, educated participants on the dos and don’ts of the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, stressing the need to protect the facility’s infrastructure and maintain discipline both on and off the field. His remarks were followed by Maxwell Caesar Kemeh from the Competitions Department, who provided detailed guidance on the tournament’s regulations, ensuring that all teams were well-informed about the rules governing the competition.

Adding a technical perspective, National U-19 Assistant Coach, Eric Bekoe, engaged the players and officials in an interactive session, sharing insights on professionalism, teamwork and the mindset required to succeed at the elite youth level.

The MTN Elite U-19 Boys Championship officially kicks off on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, with regional teams from across the country set to battle for glory in Ghana’s premier youth football development competition.

The tournament, proudly sponsored by MTN Ghana, forms a key part of the GFA’s “Power to the Youth” initiative, aimed at developing a clear pathway from grassroots football to the national stage.
