Milovan Rajevac has urged the Black Stars to demonstrate their resolve to win as they prepare to welcome Lesotho to the Sekondi Sports Stadium on Saturday.

The Black Stars slumped to third on the Group 5 table after defeat to Libya in their last World Cup qualifier, thus making Saturday’s game against the Basotho a must-win clash for Ghana.

Ghana are keen to replicate the form which saw them take charge of the group when the qualifiers started in June.

He said to www.ghanafa.org: "Before the game against Libya I saw the players for only three days so it was very difficult to assess them to know their abilities.

“But that is behind now and we must map out strategy for the next game. There will be changes because we must play tactically and we should not make some mistakes like before.”

Despite the decline in form, Milovan Rajevac is hopeful the team would turn in a great performance to reach the second phase of the qualifiers.

“They must be very serious because this is a crucial game. This game is deciding whether we are going to the next qualifying round or not, so they are all aware of that. They all know how that the game is important so there will be no problem preparing their minds.

Ghana remain firm favourites to clinch a win which would move the Black Stars on to 12 points. But Milovan Rajevac is not having any of that at this moment.

“Before the game you can never be sure that you will win. The players must give their maximum performance and fully concentrate,” he said.

On the clash against the Basothos, Milovan Rajevac is expecting more than hundred percent from his players.

“You must not underestimate any opposition especially in such significant games. We will ask for the players to give more than 100 per cent. We are taking this match seriously and we will play like we are playing Brazil.”
