AC Milan have confirmed their interest in Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The 23-year-old Portsmouth player has reportedly signed for Genoa as Milan have opened negotiations with their Italian rivals to secure the Ghanaian.

Milan reported on their official website that Boateng was at the club's headquarters in Italy on Monday.

"Kevin Prince Boateng was present at Milanello today," said the report.

"The Ghana player is owned by Genoa and is waiting for an agreement between Milan and Genoa which will enable the player to train and play friendlies with the Rossoneri."
