Winners of the monthly awards in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League have officially received their prizes from sponsors Electroland Ghana, distributors of NASCO Electronics at the Ghana Football Association Secretariat on Wednesday.
The awards were presented to the league’s standout coaches and players who were named Coach of the Month and Player of the Month from December, January and February for their exceptional performances during the period under review. For December, Jonina Ladies duo, Joseph Osei Owusu and Agnes Yeboah won the Coach and player of the Month respectively.
Hasaacas Ladies Coach, Raymond Fenny and FC Epiphany Warriors Ladies Player Jemima Twumwaa were adjudged the winners for January.
FC Savannah Coach, Tamimu Adam and Dreamz Ladies player Dorothy Pokua picked the awards for the Month of February.
The coach of the Month walk home with a 40" NASCO digital satellite TV and a 150-litre chest freezer whereas the Player of the Month gets a 43-inch Nasco digital satellite TV and a five-burner gas stove.
Representatives for the players and coaches picked the awards on their behalf at the GFA Secretariat.
The monthly recognition forms part of efforts by the Ghana Football Association and Electroland Ghana to celebrate excellence in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, while motivating players and coaches to continue raising the standard of the women’s game across the country.
