Olympic team coach, Kwesi Appiah believes his side will be able to handle the pressure in the first leg of their 2011 All-Africa Games qualifier against Nigeria on Sunday.

The two nations with immense footballing rivalry between them will meet in the final round of qualifying on June 26 in Benin State for the sole ticket from Zone III.

Appiah, who is overseeing Ghana's two-leg tie against Nigeria, has been impressed by the way the Black Meteors have responded to his methods since last week.

"The squad has been training well and I am really impressed with the level of work put in by all the players," the stand-in Olympic team coach told www.ghanafa.org on Monday.

"They are aware of the task ahead and I also know the job on my hands. There would always be a degree of expectation no matter the opposition, but we are keen on getting a result. We expect to meet a tough side aware of the rivalry between both sides.

"However, I am very confident in my team."

The winner over two legs gets to participate at the Games in Mozambique.
