Medeama SC stunned Elmina Sharks on Sunday to record their third straight win and only their second away win of the season.

Burkina Faso International, Amed Toure got his Medeama career off to a flying start after fetching a brace for the Mauve and Yellows at Elmina to give them all the spoils in a tensed atmosphere.

Toure opened the scoring in the first half before adding the second two minutes from time to stun the home side. With their unbeaten record at home in the League, the Tarkwa lads aim to continue their resurgence in midweek when Wonders come visiting.

Medeama have won four and drawn four in their 8 home matches in the ongoing campaign and currently sit in 5th place with 23 points, three adrift leaders Karela United and six more than their guest, Eleven Wonders.

The Techiman side began the season in an impressive fashion after going three games without defeat as they drew with Asante Kotoko (1-1), beat Ebusua Dwarfs (2-1) and drew (1-1) with Liberty Professionals on the road.

They have picked up one win, three defeats and three draws on the road this season having conceded 9 goals in the process.

Eleven Wonders sit in 14th place in the League, 11 points off the top and 6 points from a top four place.

Their trip to Tarkwa is highly unpredictable as due to their inconsistent displays on the road but Coach Ignatius Osei Fosu has the magic wand to inspire his side for a good result.

The match shall be played at the Akoon park at Tarkwa on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 3pm.
