Bashir Hayford signaled his return to coaching duties after a month's leave, guiding Medeama to a 4-2 home win against Heart of Lions on Sunday.

The evening kick-off game at the Sekondi Stadium was just seven minutes old when Louis Agyemang put Medeama ahead.

Thirteen minutes later, Hans Kwofie made it 2-0 before Gilbert Fiamenyo pulled a goal back from a penalty in the 25th minute.

Both sides returned from the break and it was Medeama who sounded intent as they scored in the 64th minute through Jacob Appau.

Two minutes into added on time, Lions mounted a late siege in the Medeama area and succeeded in finding the back of the net through Benjamin Fadi.

Lions' hopes of getting back on level terms was however dashed when Emmanuel Dogbe scored a minute later to seal the day for Medeama.

The win was a perfect response by Medeama following their defeat to bottom side Bechem United last weekend.
