Official meal sponsor of the Black Stars, Continental Commodity Trading Company - CCTC today served the team with a cheque of GH 50,000 cedis ($50,000).

The amount represents the rice trading firm’s financial commitment for attaching their product to the nation's flagship national team, the Black Stars.

CCTC, who joined the Black Stars' corporate list in the run up to the last World Cup finals hosted by Germany, beginning Tuesday roll out their media package which aside promoting their brand would whip up support for the Black Stars as Ghana prepares to host the African Cup of Nations next year.

Ahmed Halawi, Deputy Managing Director of CCTC says their company believes in Ghana football and feel proud to be associated to the team.

"We believe in Ghana football and also believe in the Ghana Football Association's role in bringing success to us all."

Massive support for the team and the FA from organisations appears to justify the confidence Ghana football enjoys in the corporate world says, Kwesi Nyantakyi, President of the Ghana Football Association.

"Such support shows the confidence that the corporate community has in the Black Stars.

"We would justify such confidence by winning the cup (African Cup of Nations) next year.

"All this efforts combine to make our resolve stronger," Ghana's FA President said before posing for the cameras as he picked up the dummy cheque.
