The hopes of Hearts of Oak going top of the Glo Premier League table was dealt a big blow as the Phobians lost 1-2 to All Stars.

The defeat, the first at the Ohene Djan Stadium against the champions this season leaves them second on the standings.

All Stars after holding the Phobians to goalless first half jumped into the lead after 63 minutes as Nathaniel Asamoah beat goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy to a cross.

Hearts managed to draw level on 80 minutes through Samuel Affum but five minutes later, the Blues were back in the lead.

Poor anticipation by goalie, McCarthy gifted the All Stars a league double over the champions.

McCarthy watched on for a harmless cross to hit the crossbar and bounced back into play only for Ben Acheampong to rifle a shot from four yards into the net.

Hearts remain second and just a point behind leaders, AshantiGold after the Miners drew 1-1 against Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindorf Park.

Latif Salifu put the home team in front before substitute Mohammed Yakubu got the equalizer for the Obuasi-based side.

New Edubiase moved out of the bottom three after beating Aduana Stars 1-0 at the Len Clay Stadium.

Asante Kotoko's poor season took another bad turn as they slipped to tenth on the table after losing 0-1 in the Kumasi derby to King Faisal.

The 12th minute goal scored by Frank Acheampong settled the tie as poor finishing cost the Porcupine Warriors a point.

Heart of Lions were 2-1 winners over Great Olympics at the Kpando Park. The defeat leaves Olympics in the drop zone.

At the Tamale Sports Stadium, Real Tamale United managed a 2-1 victory against Eleven Wise.

Berekum Arsenals are now level on points with Kessben FC after beating Bashir Hayford's side 2-1 at the Golden City Park.

The woes of bottom-club, Hasaacas were further deepened as they lost 0-1 at the Sekondi Sports Stadium to Bechem Chelsea.
