Inter Allies and WAFA SC shared the spoils 1-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on a sunny Sunday afternoon to clear match week 5 encounter of the Ghana Premier League.

The hosts created a lot of chances in the opening minutes but it’s the visitors who took advantage of the chances that came their way.

They broke the deadlock in the 31st minute thanks to Richard Acquaah’s own goal. WAFA held on to their slender lead until the end of the first half.

The Academy Boys came in very solid in all departments of the game in the second half and denied Allies the leveler until late in the game.

Victorien Adebayor struck a powerful one in with just four minutes of play left on the clock and later proved to only be the equalizer for the Capelli Boys.

The draw has taken Allies out of the drop zone and WAFA to 7th with 9 points.

WAFA goalkeeper Sabi Ferdinand Acquah was named the NASCO Man of the match.
