The Premier League Board direcs that all match centres observe a minute's silence to remember the passing of ex-Black Stars striker Edward Acquah.

Acquah, 76, passed away on Wednesday October 10 after battling with a long illness.

"All match centres and teams are to observe a minute's silence prior to kick off of this weekend's Glo Premier League matches in remembrance of the late Edward Kobina Acquah," a PLB statement on Friday said.

The ex-Black Stars player, also named 'Mr. Sputnik' helped the nation to lift its first Africa Cup of Nations title on home soil in 1963 when he scored twice in the 3-0 victory against Sudan in the finals.
