Techiman Eleven Wonders, will on Saturday, test their strength against Liberty professionals in a Match Day Three fixture at the Sly Tetteh Park in Dansoman.

The Techiman side have displayed fines and a lot of potential this season drawing with Asante Kotoko and beating Ebusua Dwarfs. Eleven Wonders, now coached by Ignatius Osei Fosu have lost twice and drawn one in three meetings against Liberty Professionals.

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology product is coming to town and there’s no prizes for guessing who the spotlight will be on, Saturday afternoon. The man who heads the technical department of Eleven Wonders is a familiar face back in town and he won’t come quietly.

This is, in many ways, the ideal game for Liberty Professionals and coach Ocloo. Techiman Eleven Wonders perhaps head into the tie as marginal favourites following their performance against Asante Kotoko and Ebusua Dwarfs.

They were applauded for their sterling performance in the draw (1-1) with Kotoko and the 2-1 win against Ebusua Dwarfs at home.

Unlike Wonders who won on Match Day Two, Liberty Professionals drew their game against Elmina Sharks leaving them without a win in their first two games.

Both teams boosted their squad prior to the start of the season, making this encounter a keenly contested game as Eleven Wonders look ahead to their first win against the scientific soccer lads.

Osei Fosu’s return could not come at a worse time for David Ocloo, with Liberty failing to get the better of Bechem United and Elmina Sharks having only drawn with Bechem United (1-1) and Elmina Sharks (1-1) with pressure mounting on the team to return to winning ways.

Salifu Ibrahim, Prince Okraku, Tetteh Nortey and Ashittey Ollenu are the standout players in the Eleven Wonders team after two round of games. The quartet masterminded their draw against Asante Kotoko and the win over Ebusua Dwarfs. For Liberty professional, they are yet to sparkle this season picking only two points from two games.

Captain George Ansong missed a penalty on Sunday in their draw against Elmina Sharks but they had Kwame Karikari to thank for the equalizer.

Head Coach David Ocloo has assembled a formidable side capable of causing havoc on any day but their luck has yet to shine. George Amoako, Emmanuel Paga, Simon Appiah Asamoah, Abraham Wayo and new recruit Ben Nash Quansah have the quality to win the day the day. But they have to dig deep to beat a side that have shown talent, resilience, quality, desire and hunger in their first two games.

They kept a clean sheet against Ebusua Dwarfs and conceded one against Asante Kotoko.

Techiman Eleven Wonders are second on the league table with 4points while Liberty Professionals sit 11th on the league table with 2points.

The Match Day Three fixture will be live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247 and Max TV.
