Ebusua Dwarfs were thumped at home as Liberty Professionals left the Robert Mensah Stadium with a 3-0 victory.

On a day when a minute's silence was observed for the late Liberty President, Alhaji Sly Tetteh, who passed away last year, the Dansoman side appeared to have been boosted by his memory as they were first out of the blocks.

Liberty unsettled Dwarfs and were rewarded in the 17th minute when James Abban put them in the lead to finish the opening half 1-0.

Back from recess, Abban got his name on the score sheet again when he grabbed a brace after 53 minutes before Moussa Foda Sylla wrapped up a fine performance with the third goal in the 74th minute.

Liberty have climbed up to sixth on the standings and are five points adrift the top.
