Elmina Sharks suffered their 7th defeat of the season as they were beaten 2-0 by Legon Cities in their Match Day 10 Ghana Premier League encounter at the Nduom stadium on Monday.

Nasiru Moro scored the opener in the 18th minute as he got on the end of a beautiful team move to slot home. The Royals dominated play in the first half and could have increased the tally before the break but fluffed the chances that came their way as they ended the first half with a 1-0 advantage.

Elmina Sharks changed their style in the second half and crated a few decent chances to draw level but Justice Ato Mensah, Dominic Eshun and Michelle Sarpong could not take their chances.

The game progressed with Legon Cities still in control with Joseph Adjei, Mohammed Issaka and Captain Francis Addo holding their own against the attackers of Elmina Sharks.

Teenager Augustine Dosu crowned it all in the 90th minute with an incredible strike to give Legon Cities a 2-0 win at the Nduom stadium. Issaka Mohammed was absolutely brilliant against his former side as he was crowned the player of the match.

The win takes Legon Cities to 10 points in 14th place on the table – one place below Karela United FC who sits in 13th place also with 10 points.
