Legon Cities FC would aim for the three points to end the first round of the Premier League on a high when clash with King Faisal at the El-Wak Stadium on Monday.

Cities have improved in recent matches - having lost only once in their last five league games (drawn two, won two and lost one). But their inconsistent run is a call for concern.

The Royals are on the same points with WAFA – (16) and sit above the relegation zone with goals difference and would want to win to improve their position in the League standings. Maxwell Konadu's side have failed to impress this season especially at home after recording only one win in their last seven matches where they have lost four and drawn two.

King Faisal have been poor travellers in the League throwing their title aspirations off gear after a sublime start to the season.

Nurudeen Amadu's side ended their four match winless run last weekend following a 2-0 win against Real Tamale United at the Baba Yara Stadium – bringing to an end a string of poor results that included three away defeats and one home loss since – the longest run since 2nd January when they defeated Bibiani Gold Stars 2-1 at home.

King Faisal have lost all of their last four games on the road and must play above themselves to avoid another setback on Monday.

They have recorded only two away wins in the League – a 3-1 win against Aduana FC and the famous 3-2 victory over city rivals Asante Kotoko on December 5, in Kumasi.

The match is scheduled for 3pm kick off at the El Wak Stadium on Monday.
