Zone One leaders Nsoatreman FC will play host to Young Apostles on Match Day six of the Division One League.
Nsoatreman moved to the top of the table on Thursday after beating Dreams Tamale 1-0 at the Aliu Mahama stadium with Solomon Adu netting in the 62nd minute to condemn the newly promoted side to their first home defeat of the season.
Nsoatreman FC have bagged 13 points after five League matches and sit at the top of the table three points richer than Tamale City who are on 10 points.
Their lead will be put to test this weekend when they host rejuvenated Young Apostles at home. Apostles drew in midweek against Berekum Arsenal but their performance thus far has been nothing but impressive – as they boast of two wins and three draws in their first five matches.
Young Apostles are one of the few sides who have yet to taste defeat in Zone One and their might especially on the road will be assessed on Saturday when they play the leaders.
Second placed Tamale City will also aim for the three points when they face Kintampo FC at the Aliu Mahama stadium. Three points separate the two sides – Tamale City have 10 points while Kintampo FC sit in 9th place with 7 points.
Wamanafo Mighty Royals will locks horns with Tano Bofoakwa. The latter were very close to making it to the top flight last season but their form in the on-going League has been unimpressive as they occupy the 8th spot with 7 points.
They have won two, lost two and drawn one of their last five matches making the trip to Mighty Royals a tricky one. Though only one point separates the two teams Mighty Royals are in 5th place with 8 points.
