Leaders Aduana FC take on King Faisal at Dormaa

Premier League Leaders Aduana FC will clash with King Faisal at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park in pursuit of the three points to extend their lead at the top of the table.

The two-time champions beat King Faisal 3-2 in the first round and aims to register the double over the strugglers on Wednesday. King Faisal are one of the bottom three clubs having amassed 20 points from 18 matches – as they sit in 16th place with four of their last five games ending in defeats.

Aduana FC are on top of the League log with 35 points – five points ahead of second placed Bechem United and 15 points richer than King Faisal. The Ogya lads have won three and drawn two in their last five games.

Isaac Mintah has fitted in perfectly for Bright Adjei who moved to Tanzania in the January transfer window and his brace against Hearts of Oak catapulted them to an impressive 5 points lead at the top. Elvis Opoku also scored on Sunday to give them passage to the quarter final of the MTN FA cup. Coach Samuel Fabin also has Kelvin Obeng, former WAFA forward Richard Danso as Kwame Adom Frimpong also runs the show in midfield.

For King Faisal, Abdul Latif, Samuel Adom Antwi, Baba Yahaya and Benjamin Bature are all available for the game.

Meanwhile, Berekum Chelsea will press for a win against Samartex at the Golden City Park to improve their position in the standings. With 25 points after 18 matches the Blues will fight for the points to boost their Top four hopes. Samartex have made a remarkable impression in their last five matches with three wins, one loss and one draw. The two sides drew 1-1 in the first round of the season at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.

In Accra, Legon Cities host Tamale City at the El-Wak Stadium hoping to do the double over the citizens. Tamale City lost the first leg encounter 1-0 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium with Abdul Rahamn scoring in the 73rd minute of the game.

The Aliu Mahama stadium in Tamale will host the match between Real Tamale United and Medeama SC. Medeama won the first leg 3-2 at the Akoon Park and the host would want to redeem their image on Wednesday.

Medeama SC are 7th in the league table with 27 points with Real Tamale United occupying the 11th spot with 24 points. Issah Kuka, Stephen Dankwah Badu, Sadat Mohammed, Baba Kushibo and Roland Frimpong look set to compete for the home side with Kwasi Donsu, Nurudeen Abdulai, Jonathan Sowah and Vincent Atinga raring to go for the mauves and yellows.
