Tema Youth could not recover from an early minute Murtala Mohammed goal that has extended Asante Kotoko’s lead on top the standings by four points.

The premiership debutants played delightfully but lack of concentration on the spell of the moment cost them a point as the lanky Kotoko defender popped up in the area to head in a cross for the opener.

Asante Kotoko, playing their first game at their new home grounds at the Robert Mensah stadium held onto the solitary lead to end the first half 1-0.

The Porcupine Warriors in the second half increased the tally.

Captain, Edmund Owusu-Ansah made sure that the Porcupine Warriors were home and dry as he scored the second goal for Asante Kotoko in the 80th minute.

The win keeps the Porcupine Warriors on top the standings before the last set of matches for the first round though their archrivals and closet contenders, Hearts of Oak have a game in hand.
