Asante Kotoko have moved out of the relegation zone after a vital 1-0 win over Ashantigold at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

The reigning Champions found themselves at the 13th position after losing 1-0 to WAFA on Wednesday.

And coming into Sunday's game the Porcupine Warriors were poised to beat the league leaders and move up the table.

Sarfo Gyamfi gave Kotoko the three points in the game after connecting Eric Donkor's cornerkick into the net.

Ashantigold are however still on top of the First Capital Plus Premier League table though they just two points ahead of Berekum Chelsea.

Kotoko on the other hand have moved to 11th on the league table.

In another match played at the Sekondi Stadium, Hasaacas brat bottom placed BA United 2-0 in the Match day 24 encounter.

Siba Adams and Kojo Poku were the goal scorers for the home side.
