Asante Kotoko have failed to respond to their loss over the weekend to Hearts of Oak as they suffered another defeat in the MTN Top 4 tournament on Wednesday night.

The Porcupine Warriors were this time beaten by Heart of Lions 1-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium as they extended their losing run to three defeats in eight days.

A second half strike from Daniel Acquaye condemned Kotoko to defeat as pressure on head coach Herbert Addo increases with their chances of claiming an off-season glory effectively ended.

The win by Lions keeps them on top the four-team table, one better than second placed Hearts of Oak.

Hearts of Oak improved their chances in the competition with a 2-1 win over King Faisal at the Ohene Djan Stadium.

Eric Gawu put Hearts ahead early in the first half with Prince Arko equalizing for Faisal but Bernard Don Bortey scored his second successive goal to give the Phobians yet another win.
