Kotoko edge Liberty to open two-point lead

Asante Kotoko edged Liberty Professionals in a thrilling late kick off fixture on match-day-14 to go back top of the standings after winning 2-1.

Prior to kick off, Kotoko had slipped to second after rivals, Hearts of Oak drew at Bechem.

But goals from Kofi Nti Boakye, with a minute before the break and another by Richard Yeboah handed them a 2-0 lead before Liberty pulled one back.

Attacker, James Abban who struck a brace in Liberty's game got his side a consolation at the Accra Sports Stadium.
